π James Trafford: Championship Players’ Player of the Year
Former Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford, now back at Manchester City, was honored with the Championship Players’ Player of the Year award. His record-breaking 29 clean sheets were instrumental in Burnley's promotion campaign. Additionally, Trafford received the Championship Goalkeeper of the Year award, further solidifying his exceptional season.
π§€ Manchester City Players at the 2025 PFA Awards
While no Manchester City players secured the top awards this year, several were nominated and attended the ceremony:
- Mary Fowler and Yui Hasegawa were nominated for the PFA Women’s Player of the Year award. The award went to Arsenal's Mariona Caldentey.
- Phil Foden, Erling Haaland, and Kevin De Bruyne were nominated for the PFA Men’s Player of the Year award. Liverpool's Mohamed Salah won the award, becoming the first player to win it three times.
- Cole Palmer was nominated for the PFA Men’s Young Player of the Year award. Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers took home the honor.

Despite the individual nominations, Manchester City players were not included in the PFA Premier League Team of the Year. The team featured players from Liverpool, Arsenal, and Newcastle United.
